Objectiana was inspired by the current Covid-19 Pandemic and a imaginative future in which events such as supply chain shortages keep escalating with no solution. The aesthetic inspirations of the object come from Sailor Moon (the star locket shape) and Zelda (Navi as the wings). The artifact made of two parts -- the lid and main body.

Following the COVID-19 Pandemic, the world’s supply chain continued to experience shortages of more and more necessary goods, causing a lack of nutritious foods. Much of the food in supermarkets was diluted to processed goods, and human bodies started deteriorating at faster rates. People were developing arthritis and muscle atrophy at younger ages, and were no longer able to carry out simple physical tasks such as carrying groceries or bookbags. People were breaking their arms and legs at alarming rates, overwhelming hospitals and causing the biggest unemployment rates in history due to people not being able to move properly.
In the year 3000, scientists researching on the island of Stardust made a groundbreaking discovery -- fireflies put in captivity for study were summoning objects such as leaves and flowers into their isolated environments. Scientists realized the species of fireflies were unique to Stardust island and possessed the power of object teleportation -- one that could benefit humans during the Age of Atrophy. Stanford researchers were able to find a way to harvest the power from the Stardust fireflies and humans could finally be able to complete their tasks without risking a fracture or broken bone. Many retailers around the world started to sell amulets that held the power of object teleportation, making it possible to live somewhat normally again.
